Aromatherapy is a complementary therapy designed to help with both psychological and physical conditions by the use and application of plant essential oils. The essential oils are absorbed by the skin during massage and enter into the blood stream, and so can help improve physical conditions. Minute molecules are also inhaled through the nose... these molecules stimulate the odour receptors in the nose, which are connected to the area in the brain associated with emotion. Thus, essential oils can affect our moods, which enables the management of psychological conditions.
